The Lab, a space within the FLA FlavioLucchiniArt Museum dedicated to hosting emerging artists, presents the installation "Bring me a Higher Love" by the young artist and designer Sebastiano Pelli. Sculptures and material paintings where the glimmers of gold (actually brass macerated with waste materials such as orange peels and coffee) meet the water element contained in a large central sculpture in burnished iron and brass. In a historical moment of great confusion, it is an almost ancestral reflection on the need for light and purity, which fits well with the sacredness of Flavio Lucchini's totemic sculptures. The site-specific installation "Bring me a Higher Love", curated by Chiara Ferella Falda, is conceived as a sincere invitation to the viewer, urging them to a deeper reflection on the cultural moment in which we find ourselves, immersed in a society often characterized by selfishness, deceit, and, in some aspects, anachronism. The exhibition revolves around Light and Water, the two essential elements for the sustenance of all living beings. Light in these works is produced through carefully polished brass details, while the Water element is celebrated in all its forms. All the works are created without producing waste materials, and each element is completely recyclable. Incorporated into each sculpture or painting are geometric figures, symbols that have accompanied us since ancient times. These are the central themes of Sebastiano Pelli's research: environmental sustainability, the relationship between humanity and society, man and nature, the relativity of each of us in relation to a broader concept of nature as the generative force of all things, and above all, the Love for every moment we can experience.
