"Toys" in dialogue with furniture and objects designed with irony, MyOwnGallery Via Tortona 27 bis Milano, 7 July - 28 July 2017.
Furniture and objects designed with a playful and ironic sprit, or projects for adults that are a tribute to the world of youth, curated by Lavinia Dimiziani on a project by Gisella Borioli. Cute little animals to sit on, irresistible toys to try out, delicate lamps that reminds of the little girls closeness and tables inspired by fairy tales…Selected objects by ALTREFORME, DANIELA GERINI, HAND STUDIO, LAGO, MAGIS, QEEBOO, SLIDE e VALSECCHI 1918, will dialogue with the "Toys" by Flavio Lucchini, the first artist to take challenge looking at the fashion world with naive astonishment. The desire is to exhibit on one side iconic design pieces that have been able to give light heartedness and irony back in our houses, forniture accessories that become toys for adults, in front of which it is impossible not to smile nor remain emotionless; on the other side there are the “Toys” made of many irregular cubes that become small and large totems to observe full ecstatic astonishment. Analogies among these eclectic deisgners and infantile poetry of the artist prove to be obvious; they leave you dreamy and they tempt you to rediscover a joyful, colorful fantastic world, where anything is possible.
The exhibition “Toys. Playful objects and furniture in dialogue with art” is part of FUORI FUORISALONE/PEOPLE&STORIES.
